Christmas Cookie Scene

Today we had a lot of fun decorating our sugar cone Christmas trees and making snowman out of cookies and marshmallows.  The children loved doing this activity, and their final products showed great creativity!  Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Grade One Selfies

We got large paper and laid down on them. Our grade 6 book buddies helped trace us. - Airi

Problem Solving

The problem was that the animals didn't like to be together.  So we had to move them so that there was 2 of a kind and 1 different in each row going down and across. Then the animals would be happy. -Megan

First we moved the animals on a piece of paper, then we recorded our answer on paper. -Danika

Happy Halloween

Our class had so much fun today!  We had a parade and then a class party this afternoon.  Here are some of the pictures.  We sure love Halloween!

The Great Pumpkin Math

We guessed and measured how tall the pumpkin was. -Elissa

We guessed how many pumpkin seeds there were. -Jesse

We cut the pumpkin open and scooped out the guts.-Anna & Airianna

We guessed how many seeds were in the pumpkin. Then we put the seeds on ten frames. -Danika

We counted by tens to find the total amount of seeds.

Our Terry Fox Run

 We ran down River Road and raised money to find a cure for cancer.  -Nolan

We ran or walked and got to pour water on our heads because we were so hot! -Danika

 We took pictures of our walk and when we rested at the water station -Anna

After the walk, we got to have ice cream! -Brooke

We ran a long ways.  We went to Donald Road and back. -Chelsey

Community Field Trip

To wrap up our social studies unit about our community.  We went on a fabulous field trip today to learn about some fantastic and important places in our community.  I'd like to thank all the parent volunteers for coming out today and helping, and I want to thank the children for being wonderful ambassadors for

Pizza Day

We made our own pizzas and it was fun! -Ethan
First we put oil on our pans then we flattened the dough. Then we put tomato sauce on it. Then we put the toppings on and covered it with cheese. Then we baked them. Then we ate them! -Jeffery
I put mushrooms on my pizza and tomatoes. I liked it! -Neil
We made the pizzas and then put them in the oven and then we ate them all up! -Ava
