Christmas Cookie Scenes

We had so much fun today!  We made Christmas cookie scenes and decorated them with candies and icing.  A big thank you to Mrs. Fernandes for helping us to make our snowman cookies and a big thank you to Miss. Wood who made gingerbread cookies for us to decorate.  We can't wait to eat them!

Our Selfies

Our grade 6 buddies helped us make our selfies. -Kayla

We had to lay on a big paper and then they traced us. -Paige

It really tickled me when I laid down on the paper and they traced me. -Ava

The Gooey Day

We put seeds on our ten frames. I liked it when the guts got on my hands.-Ella

 I liked when my hands got orange from the guts. We are going to carve a pumpkin. -Sadie

We had a good time. -Emma

 We were gluing seeds onto the ten frames. -Lucas

It felt weird! It smelled really bad, like rotten eggs!-Nolan

It was very fun and it was the best! I really liked the gooey part! -Ava

There was 223 seeds in our pumpkin! -Paige

 I liked when we had to scoop it out with our hands! -Alexis

Wow!  223 seeds is a lot for us to count!   But we used 10 frames so it was easy!

Pizza Day

We were making pizza. Me and Dylan are spreading sauce on our pizzas. -Megan

I shared bacon and Danika shared her pepperoni with me. -Kynan

It was very very fun! -Airianna

I forgot my pizza toppings, but Jesse shared cheese and Camp shared pepperoni with me. -Rowan

I shared cheese with Kynan and Nolan and Rowan. -Jesse

It was fun and it tasted good too.  At lunch time we ate the pizzas. -Aliyah

It was pizzarific! -Josh

My pizza was great!  But I did not like the burnt pepperoni! -Kennedy

I tried my pizza and  I took a piece of pepperoni off because it looked like plastic. -Mason

My pizza was named White Wolf Special.  It had white cheese on it.  I had some cheese from Dylan, Kynan, and Jesse and it had parmesan cheese too. -Nolan

I had lots of fun making it.  Danika and I helped make Shayla's because she wasn't there. -Brooke

I never made a pizza before. It was the best lunch ever! -Camp

We listened to the pizza song while Mrs. Cook was cutting the dough. -Anna

Bunny Day

We guessed how long our bunnies were.  And then we measured them with the blocks.  Our bunnies got to do Daily 3 with us.  -Mason

 We measured our bunnies.  My bunny was 27 blocks long. -Airianna

My bear was 12 blocks long. -Kynan

My bunny is 2 Easters old. -Brooke

 We read a story about bunnies and it was a true story. -Aliyah

I brought a cat.  His name was Sushi.  He was 8 blocks tall, his foot was 5 blocks long, and his ears were 2 blocks long. -Camp

At the end of the day we made bunny books and we coloured them.  It was fun!  My bunnies ears were 10 blocks long. -Megan

Our Classroom Play and Our Special Guests

We are doing a play called "The Chicken Princess" by Jillian Jiggs. -Aliyah

I was in the play and I was the queen. I got to wear my Brave dress. -Megan

I was the princess and we got to perform the play in front of our class. -Elissa

We had long scripts and it was fun! -Airianna

I was the wizard and it was fun! -Camp

The play was funny because the princess married the mouse! -Kennedy

There were 2 groups. It was funny because 

the princess turned into a chicken. -Anna

It was awesome and fun! -Josh

It was also backwards day at school. -Rowan

I liked being in the play! -Chelsey

I was the wizard too and it was fun! -Brooke

We switched between groups. One was one day and one was the other day because it took longer than we thought. -Danika

It was really funny when I was turned into a chicken in the play. -Shayla

I got to hold my guinea pig Bruin. Everyone got to pat him and Bruin climbed up on Mason. -Dylan

They were really cute and one was named Mr. Squeakers. -Shayla

The guinea pig was very soft. It was white and black and beige and his name was Bruin. -Jesse

When we were doing the play the guinea pigs came out to watch. We think they liked it! -Aliyah

When we were doing the play Mr. Squeakers closed his eyes. -Dylan

The guinea pigs did not like loud noises. -Megan

Their favourite food was carrots and greens. -Brooke

St. Patrick's Day Tricks

Lucky the leprechaun came to our classroom.  He made a mess and he left his underpants on the window and I found them!  -Nolan



He left footprints on the door, wall, window, and even our desks! -Mason

 When we got to school we were freaking out that a leprechaun was here! -Shayla

The leprechaun took everything green in our class and put it on the carpet. It was a mess! -Megan

It was the funniest thing ever! -Airianna

 The leprechaun spilt all my gold in my trap.  He left a treat for everyone in their traps. -Kennedy

I really liked making my leprechaun trap. -Rowan



Some people ate the leprechaun treat at snack. -Aliyah

 The leprechaun left us a note on the SmartBoard. It said "I like your traps grade one. Look inside to find a surprise.  Hee hee hee! You can't catch me! Love Lucky ".  We were surprised. -Chelsey

 For math we used Lucky Charms.  We put the marshmallows on a graph paper and had to fill in answers on a different paper. My partner was Elissa. -Anna

Mrs. Duke is taking us outside for extra recess because we won the class Draco of the month! -Camp
